Zinc is also more susceptible to oxidation than the steel it contacts. This is similar to galvanized steel.

aluminum and silicon, while galvanizing is 100% zinc. The composition of these three elements in the Aluminum Zinc coating is a little more than
50% aluminum, less than 50% zinc, and a small amount of silicon.
